Border Fence? Washington at it's best (worst!)!

From The Washington Post "...shortly before recessing late Friday, the House and Senate gave the Bush administration leeway to distribute the money to a combination of projects -- not just the physical barrier along the southern border."

And more concessions are there as well, it's more of the typical 9/11 feel good politics that we've had pulled over our eyes to make it 'look' like they're doing 'something' for us, when really they're just helping themselves at our expense!

Ah, yeah, our fine representatives at 'work'.

Gotta love it (NOT!).

Gasoline vaporizors for high gas mileage... fact or fiction?

I've read of many others who have achieved huge increases in gas mileage by completely vaporizing the fuel before it gets to the engine. I can see why governments would try to suppress this, but with the advent of the internet, that something like this would be more widespread.

Hmm, fact or conspiracy? Anyway, interesting reading, except for the massive typos!

Textbooks causing America to fall behind

At its core, the economic surge in India and China comes down to brains. The industries driving the region's challenge to American leadership "communications, information technology, biotech and the like" can't thrive without a steady supply of highly educated, intellectually flexible workers.

How to Hollow Out a Light Bulb

When I was growing up I had a keen interest in the sciences. Mostly because of the cool gear that scientists used. Well, not only did I not have the money for those sorts of thing but I had no idea where to even buy them if I could. One of the better improvisations I was able to do was to hollow out a light bulb and use it for other things.

Like I need to KEEP anything around my house, but what the hay, looks like fun!

Senator Wants to Kill National Weather Service

"Millions rely on the National Weather Service for forecasts. The government agency said that it registered more than 1billion hits on its Web site alone in 2004. But Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) wants the public to turn to private forecasters."

The most disgusting example of self serving politics ever! Mr. Santorum's state is home to three of the largest COMMERCIAL Weather Forcast Services in the US, imagine that! These companies make BILLIONS yearly, but they want Ricky to shut down one of the most benificial uses of tax dollars the system has, so they can make us pay them a few billion more just to see if we are going to be hit by a hurricane. And they won't give you more than 3 hour animations of weather systems, USELESS!
